How to tell if you need help

Do you need a Lactation Consult?

Are you experiencing persistent breast pain or nipple damage?

Is your baby able to latch on easily and comfortably?

Is your baby wetting 6+ diapers, with 3+ stools per day (after day 4)?

Is your baby gaining an average of 5 to 7oz. per week (in first 4 months)?

Is your baby too sleepy to eat?

Have you had breast surgery (any type) and wondered how
it will affect your breastfeeding abilities?

Is your baby generally miserable or difficult to console?

Do you feel like you are feeding your baby all the time?

Have you given up, but now unhappy with that choice?

Were you unable to nurse your last baby, and wanting to get off to a better start?

Are you adopting a baby, and desiring to breastfeed?

Your answers to these questions may indicate a need for an appointment ~
