What to expect
Lactation consultations include taking a general health & birth history, assessment of the
mother's breasts, assessment of the infant's general health and oral anatomy, as well as a
feeding observation. We will confirm amount of milk transferred by using a specialized, highly
accurate baby scale. We will develop a plan for you to help you achieve your breastfeeding
goals ~
Additionally, we will coordinate your plan of care by communicating directly with your child's
doctor and your other health care providers ~
Initial Consultation ~ Generally 2 hours
* Flat Fee*
Follow-up Consults ~ reduced rate for
additional visits
**Extra fee per additional infant, i.e. twins, triplets
